David Richards Bio

Hi, I’m David Richards—a registered Radiographer, veteran, and the founder of Mobile Medical Global. I’ve spent over 18 years in diagnostic imaging, but my journey started long before that as a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force. In fact, I was the first person in the Defence Force to qualify and serve as a Radiographer, and I even helped design and establish the Force’s first radiology department.

After nearly a decade of military service, I moved into the private sector, working in general radiography and later as a cardiac cath lab technologist. But the turning point came when I treated an elderly patient who had to be transported—painfully and expensively—by ambulance just to get an X-ray. That experience stayed with me. I kept thinking: “What if I could bring the imaging to her instead?”

That question led me to launch DR Xray Company Ltd. in 2013, which later became Mobile Medical Global. Today, we provide mobile X-ray and ultrasound services across Trinidad & Tobago, making healthcare more compassionate, convenient, and accessible—especially for those who can’t easily leave home.

Over the years, I’ve presented at both local and international conferences, served on the board of the Society of Radiographers, and stayed committed to one simple mission: helping people get the care they need, in the place they feel safest.
